Biography
Gen. Joseph Wilkinson, the son of Joseph Wilkinson II and Betty Heighe, was born in Calvert County MD in 1753.
He married Barbara Mackall in 1774. They were the parents of 9 sons, and 6 daughters.
Joseph Wilkinson was colonel in the Revolution and a legislator. He served as General in the War of 1812.
He died in Calvert County MD 28 June 1820.[1]
He is buried at the Wilkinson Family Cemetery in Calvert County MD.[2]
