Nathaniel was born in 1723 in Weston MA, where he married Dorothy Stratton. Both of his parents' families contained important puritan divines, including his cousin Jonathan Edwards. Williams and his wife appear to have continued in Weston, having all but one of their twelve children. there before moving to Lanesborough in the Berkshires around 1771. There he lived until he passed away in 1801. (Stoddard Martin, 6 v 2020)

William Williams, of Weston, married Dolly Stratton, daughter of the old Indian hunter. He was father of the wife of Col. Hubbell, of Lanesboro', where he resided the last years of his life. He had the following sons. Stoddard, who had one son living in Lanesboro', 1847. Solomon, who has three sons living in Ohio. William, who has one son living in Vermont.

Williams-81704 and Williams-25044 appear to represent the same person because: These are certainly the same individual. It is through Williams that the 'Stoddard' name which has descended upon me came into the Martin family.
