John married Anna Romine. They were living in Washington Township in 1900[1] and 1910.[2] His father John was living with them. John and Anna were still living in Washington Township in 1930.[3]
J.R. Williams is Called From Life
"Funeral services for J.R. Williams, 73, who died Saturday night at his home in Sonora, will be held at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul’s Lutheran church near Sonora, with Dr. W.M. Hackenberg, of St. John’s Lutheran church, Zanesville, officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery by the Dean funeral home.
Death followed a brief illness although he had been ailing for some time. He was a lifelong resident of the Sonora community and is survived by his widow and one son, Pearl H., near Sonora; three daughters, Mrs. Bessie B. Bair, Columbus; Mrs. J.D. Sayre, Wooster; Mrs. H.T. Earl, Columbus; one brother, S.A. Williams, Sonora; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild."[4]
