Biography

Coleman was born in Tennessee in 1849 to Francis Williams Ellen Jones. In 1860, the family was living in Obion, Tennessee.^[1] In 1970, he was living with his widowed mother and two siblings, Samuel and Vicia.

By 1880, he had married Mary Frances, and was living in Erath County, Texas.^[2]

In 1900, he was still in Erath, Texas, but widowed, and had four of his children (Claud, Willie, Laura and Dana) living with him.^[3]

He died in Erath County, Texas, in 1904.^[4]
