Obituary
John Carter Williams, 84, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Mr. Williams was born July 12, 1925 in Woodruff County, Arkansas to Jessie Franklin Williams and Nora Frances Cox. Mr. Williams made his living as a truck driver and proudly served his country in the Army and was in during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Williams is survived by sister, Louise Thompson and husband Tommy of Marianna, Arkansas; and brother, Frank Williams and wife Wanda of Benton, Arkansas; his care giver Betty Torres and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Mary Ann Williams; 3 brothers Billy Joe, J. L., and L. C. Williams; sister Marie Carrier.
Pallbearers are Dennis Carnes, Jimmy Williams, Bobby Williams, Whiley Williams, Colby Torres, Austin Torres and Charles Flahrity. Services for Mr. Williams Friday were at Roller-Citizens Chapel with Reverend Mike Holcomb officiating and burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery in Moro, Arkansas.[1]
