Biography

Thomas Wheeler Williams was born 28 Sep 1789 at Stonington, Connecticut. He was the second child of William Williams and his first wife Mercy Wheeler.

He married 15 May 1817 Lucretia Woodbridge Perkins; they had 8 children:

Thomas Wheeler Williams was in the whaling & sealing business.

He was one of the incorporaters & first president of the New London Northern Railroad.

He was elected to Congress in 1838, serving 2 terms.

Thomas Wheeler Williams died 31 Dec 1874 at New London, Connecticut. His remains were interred at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
