Research Notes
What's the source for the birth? The date is 1846. She would have been 4 in 1850, but she was 7 in the census. Can that be reconciled? The obituary in the Lexington Herald gives the year of death as 1843, but the print is unclear and could be read as 1846. It also gives her place of birth as Newport, Kentucky but doesn't specify which county.[6]
