• Joseph William "Joe" Willmon, Jr. was born in Marshall County, Alabama in 1861.

• Joseph William "Joe" Willmon, Jr. married Emma A. NICHOLSON in 1882 in Marshall County, Alabama. They had eight children, two died young. Sadly, Emma died early, and Joseph William "Joe" Willmon, Jr. was left with their six younger children.

PREFACE: Annie Laura ‘Laurie’ BAXLEY (Laster) Willmon was previously married to Simon Joe Laster, and together, they had two children, Annie and Beulah. Sadly, Simon Joe Laster died early, leaving ‘Laurie" with two young daughters.

• After Emma’s early death in 1897, Joseph William "Joe" Willmon, Jr. married my gr-grandmother Annie Laura ‘Laurie’ BAXLEY (Laster) Willmon (1875-1967) on 6 Jul 1898 in Sevier County, Arkansas.

• Joseph William "Joe" Willmon, Jr. and Annie Laura ‘Laurie’ BAXLEY (Laster) Willmon had eight children together, two of these children also died early, leaving six of theirs.
