Biography

~~ Griffin Johnson Wilson was born on October 1837 at Clark County Georgia. His parents were Charles Wilson and Jane (Barber) Wilson.

~~In 1840 he is living with parents at Clark County Georgia. He is listed as male child under 5.

~~In 1850 Griffin Johnson Wilson age 12 was living with his parents Charles Wilson age 53 and Jane (Barber) Wilson age 38. His siblings were; Napolian Wilson age 13 and Jacob R. age 6.

~~In 1860 Griffin Johnson Wilson age 22 was living with his wife Harriet (Copeland) Wilson age 26 at Buchanan, Randolph County Alabama. He was a farmer by trade.

~~Griffin was a pvt. in the Confederacy. He enlisted Sept 13, 1862 he was a prisoner of War at Point Lookout Md.

~~On 03 August 1870, Griffin Johnson Wilson age 32 and wife Harriet (Copeland) Wilson was living at Wedowee, Randolph County Alabama . Their children were Charles Wilson age 8, George Wilson age 6, Twins Jane Wilson age 4 and Mary Wilson age 4, Martha age 2 and James Wilson age 7 months.

Griffen was buried at Macedonia FW Baptist Church Cemetery. He and second wife Elizabeth have a double stone grave marker.
