Biography
Elizabeth Wilson was born about 1710. She married Lazarus Sweny in Norfolk Co., Va. on February 14, 1729 (1728 according to the pre-Gregorian calendar).[1] Lazarus Sweny died sometime between Oct. 21, 1732, the date he wrote his last will, and Dec. 15, 1732, the date his will was proved in court in Norfolk Co., Va. Two sons, Daniel and James, were named in his will.[2] Given the short amount of time he and Elizabeth were married, we cannot be sure if both were sons from that marriage. Although we have no primary sources for this, some researchers indicate Elizabeth Sweny passed away about 1790.
