Martha Wilson was born in Yorkshire, England.

Martha was born about 1837. She was the daughter of Thomas Wilson and Hannah Hudson. Martha, daughter of Thomas & Hannah, was baptised on 3 June 1837 in Masham, Yorkshire (North Riding), England. The family were living in Masham and her father was a Woolcomber. [1] [2]

In 1841 Martha (age 4) was living with her parents and siblings in Cross The Hill, Masham. [3]

This is likely Martha in 1851 age 13, who was working as a Nurse for Jabez Ingham a Wesleyan Methodist Minister, and his family, and living in the Chapel House in Masham. [4]
