Biography

The son of James Wilson and Cornelia (Gage) Wilson, William was born in South Lyon, Michigan in 1870.[1][2] He married Lulu Bogett (1875-) in Novi, Michigan on February 21, 1895.[3] Their children included:

  1. Max J. (1895-)
  2. Pearl M. (1897-)
  3. Louis M. (1898-)
  4. Blanche G. (1900-)
  5. Frances S. (1903-)
  6. Kenneth D. (1910-)

The family made their home in South Lyon, where William farmed.[4][5] William was called up during World War I and was stationed in 1918 with Unit #309 at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.[6] He served as a private with Company E. of the 304th M.R. Unit.[7]

It's not clear what happened, but William married again, marrying Nellie Alsbro in Northville, Michigan on August 31, 1913.[8] Nothing is clear following the marriage but, widowed, William evidently moved to Riverside, California, where his sister, Mary Elma, lived.[9] He passed away there in 1949.[10]
