Biography
John was born aboard ship in the Atlantic Ocean on the way from Germany to the United States, landing in Virginia in 1798. He married Margaret Lay in Jefferson County, Virginia (later West Virginia) in 1827. [1] John passed away in 1865 in Ross County, Ohio and was buried in Bishop Hill Cemetery, Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio. [2]
