Jonas was born about 1795. He passed away about 1860.
1828 married Catherine Biddle.
1840 census lists his name as "Jonah". Jonas lived in Cache Township, Greene County, Arkansas, with wife, Catherine, and 7 children: 3 sons under age 5 (Alphonso and 2 unknowns), 2 sons aged 5 to 9 (Daniel & Willoughby), 1 son aged 10 to 14 (unknown), 1 daughter aged 5 to 9 (Delila). 1840 Jonas and oldest son were farmers.
1850 lived with wife, Catherine, 6 children, and farm hand Daniel Bumch, in the Saline District, Arkansas. 1850 was a farmer.
No longer listed in 1860 census.
