George Washington Winters was born on January 25, 1825, the twin brother to Andrew Jackson Winters. Their parents were Steven Larkin and Mary (Harness) Winters. Mary would pass away in around the first of 1827 leaving Steven to marry Polly (Leatherman) Evanson who would raise the twins as her own. Neither George nor Andrew were still living with their father and step mother at the time of the 1850 census and it is believed George never married and passed away in around 1850.
