Biography
He was born in Bairnsdale in 1890[1]. His parents were Albert Arthur Withers and Eliza Pidwell.
He married Janet Yates in 1913[2]. There aren't any children recorded for the couple in Victoria between 1913 and 1923. Janet later died in 1937 but Edward wasn't mentioned in her obituary. See Janet Yates' profile for more discussion.
He was a motor mechanic and probably assisted his father with his touring business.
