Biography

Robert was born in 1767. Son of Robert Witherspoon (1728–1788) and Elizabeth Heathly (1740–1820)


US Congressman. He was elected as a Democrat to represent South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1809 to 1811.




He passed away in 1937. He is buried in Salem Black River Cemetery, Mayesville, Sumter County, South Carolina.Find A Grave: Memorial #8066949
