According to Tohickon Reformed Church records Rev Casper Wack:
He baptized a John Weidemeyer on 23 Nov, 1771 who was born 28 July 1771 and his parents were "George Weidemeyer and Barbara". Witnesses were "John Bergstrasser, Magdalena Wildanger"
baptized 19 Sept 1773 Maria Barbara b. 15 Aug 1773, parents "George Weidemeyer and Anna Barbara". Witnesses were "Martin Riddelmayer, Margaret Wildanger, single" FUN FACT: Witnesses Martin Riddelmayer, son of the late Martin Riddelmayer, and Margaret Wildanger, da. of Matthias Wildanger, were married less than one month later, 12 Oct 1773, by Casper Wick)
Believed to be the George Whitmire of the PA 5th Battalion, who served in the company captained by John Spohn, which was in New York in 1776. A large number of this company was captured, including his brother Michael, and he died two days before their release. (Linn, pg 152, Montgomery, pg 84)
