Biography

Sarah Womack was born 2 February 1806, daughter of Sherwood Womack and Ann Rogers. There is some contention regarding her name as her marriage record lists her as Sarah Lawson Womack, while the Rogers family Bible lists her as "Jane Womack." She married Collin or Cullen Fargeson Rogers 21 March 1824 in Hancock County, GA.

• ”Jane Womack, married Cullen Rogers.” Sarah? Sally? Jane? Unusual typo for someone marrying into the Rogers family! Other than the name, it appears to be a simple statement, absent a date, time, or location other than Georgia implied. However, it seems the entire family is named in “Cody—Rogers of Georgia” by L.L. Cody, dated 1915, p. 28^[1]
