Biography

Fred was born in 1925. He was the son of Fred Wood and Ruth Langston.

"Fred has been an Alamogordo resident since 1968 and he was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He married Carol Ann Wilson Jan. 3, 1948, in Texas. Fred worked for the State of New Mexico as a Program Manager in the Environmental Office. He served in World War II and Korea in the U.S. Navy.[1] He was also a Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Fred was active in the Alamogordo Science Fair and the Boy Scouts, Troop 147, receiving a Silver Beaver Award."[2]

He passed away in 2005.
