Cecelia (Woodhouse) Burn was born in Ellel, Lancashire, England.

Cecelia Woodhouse was born in 1823 in Ellel, Lancashire, England to parents James Woodhouse and Sarah Ann Wardle. She was christened on 8 Feb 1824 in Cockerham, Lancashire, England.^[1]

She emigrated to New Zealand leaving Liverpool, England on 6 Nov 1841 on the ship Martha Ridgway.^[2] She settled in Nelson, New Zealand.

She married Robert James Burn about 1847 in Wakefield, Tasman, New Zealand.
