Flora Ann Worthington was born on August 7, 1888 in Bledsoe, Tennessee, United States, daughter of Samuel Perkins Worthington (1838–1918) and Mary Melzinia Mathis (1860–1940).

Flora (25) married Estel Perry Thurman (28) (born on May 30, 1886 in Dayton, Rhea) on July 29, 1914 in Bledsoe. ^[1]

In the 1900 census Flora (age 10) was the daughter of Samuel Washington in Bledsoe, Tennessee, United States.^[2] Samuel Washington 58, wife Mary M Washington 40, daughter Minie M Washington 12, daughter Flora A Washington 10, son Grover S Washington 8, son James F Washington 6, son Samuel H Washington 4, son Joe W Washington 1.

In the 1930 census Florance (age 40) was the wife of P Estell Thurman in District 04, Bledsoe, Tennessee, United States.^[3] P Estell Thurman 43, wife Florance N Thurman 40, son R Glen Thurman 14, daughter Lizzie M Thurman 12, daughter Monnie L Thurman 10, daughter Noama Thurman 7, daughter Louis E Thurman 5, boarder John P Hollaway 72.

In the 1950 census Flora (age 62), Housekeeper, was the wife of Estel Thurman in Rhea, Tennessee, United States.^[4] Estel Thurman 64 years, wife Flora Thurman 62 years, daughter Lois Thurman 25 years, son Glenn Thurman 34 years, daughter-in-law Emaline Thurman 29 years, grandson Russel Thurman 5 years, granddaughter Willie Irene Thurman 3 years.

Flora died on October 12, 1977 in Dayton, Rhea, Tennessee, aged 89. She was buried in Smyrna Cemetery, Evensville, Tennessee.^[5][6]
