Biography

Sara Ann Wright was born 12 December 1818, the daughter of Charles John Wright and Lydia Bangs of Liverpool, Queens, N.S., Canada.

On 05 May 1842, she married Oliver Millard Kempton, the son of Francis Kempton and Abigail Millard of Liverpool, NS[1] [2]

Their children included:

  1. Herbert, born April 1, 1843, who married Letitia B Hewitt September 11, 1870 in Boston, and then married Lena Kean in April 1893 in Boston[1] [2]
  2. Priscilla, born March 27, 1845, who married William MacEwan[1] [2]
  3. Alwilda, born July 27, 1847, who married Addison LeCain in 1865[1] [2]
  4. Charles Robie, born December 9, 1849, who married Jane Foster MacEwan in 1873, and then married Eliza Morton Ford in 1881[1] [2]
  5. Lydia, born August 26, 1852, who died unmarried in 1878[1] [2]
  6. Alfred, born August 14, 1854, who died in infancy[1] [2]
  7. Eunice, born October 6, 1855, who died in 1858[1] [2]
  8. Eunice, born August 22, 1859, who married William R MacEwan in 1879[1] [2]
  9. Alfred, born March 21, 1862, who married Edith Parker Hewitt in Nelsonville, OH[1] [2]

Oliver Millard Kempton died May 1, 1894, and his obituary was published in the Liverpool Advance on May 9[1] [2]

Sarah Ann (Wright) Kempton died 12 April 1895 in Milton, Nova Scotia[3]
