Birth

John Andrew Wright was born in May, 1864 ^[1] in Union Township, Ohio. ^[2] He was the 8th child and son of Daniel Wright and Mary Ann Snider/Snyder. ^[2][3]

Research Notes

A. There is some confusion about John's 4th child. There is a birth record for a Mary A . Wright, daughter of John and Elizabeth, born in October, 1894 ^[10] but in the 1900 Census, there is a daughter Ida M. Wright born August 1894, the same date as Mary. ^[1] To add to the confusion, the census records 5 living children of John and Elizabeth, but only lists 4, the 4 oldest. When Mary marries, she uses the name "Mary Lida Wright" ^[12] -- rsl
