Biography

Samuel Wright was born & married in Cumberland, VA. He m. Patience Coleman Glenn in 1794 m had his 3 oldest children (Mary Wright Cook, John Wright, Elizabeth Wright Beacham) there & migrated to Laurens County, SC about 1800 where his 4th child (Frances Mason Wright Cook) was born. All remaining issue (William Glenn Wright, James W. Wright, Mary "Polly," Wright, Nancy Wright Watson, & Samuel Wright) were b. in Lauren's.

He was executor & named in his father's (Thomas Wright) will.
