"...She was born May 23, 1917, in Union City, Okla., the daughter of Fred and Grace Gore Wright. She was raised and educated in Oklahoma, graduating from Ponca City High School. She married Mac Bowen in 1936 in Oklahoma. They lived in Oklahoma and Kansas before moving to Oregon in 1945. They lived in Dayton and later settled in Willamina. She was preceded in death by Mr. Bowen in 1956. She lived in Willamina until 1971, then moved to Dallas. She and Elvin Davis were married in June 1978. The couple settled in Newberg. Mrs. Davis formerly belonged to the Christian Memorial Alliance Church, Dallas. She was a member of the Newberg Free Methodist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Coblentz of Sheridan, Donna Commons of Scio, Barbara Fry of Ridgefield, Wash., and Karen Corbett of Yuma, Ariz.; two sons, Gerald Bowen and Robert Bowen, both of Soldotna, Alaska; a sister, Ruth Oney of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
