Biography
John Wright was the eldest child of Joseph and Elizabeth born in 1831.Baptised 1831/09/25 Boxley, Kent. As a young adult he emigrated to the US. At some stage he married Elizabeth Matthews the sister of his brother Richard's wife. (Mary Matthews) Although his brother lived for a time in the US also, he decided to rejoin his family. It is believed that John stayed on in the New York region where his descendants remain to this day.
