William Yates was born in South Australia, Australia

William Yates was born on 8 April 1887 in Dry Creek, Adelaide, South Australia. ^[1] His parents were William Yates and Isobel Willington.

William married Mary Ann Bonser on 16 March 1910 in Northam, Western Australia.^[2]They had five children in 13 years.

He died on 7 August 1962 in am ambulance en route from Jupiter Street, Carlisle to Royal Perth Hospital, Perth, Western Australia, at the age of 75.^[3]He was cremated and his ashes were interred in the Crematorium Rose Gardens at Karrakatta Cemetery, Karrakatta, Nedlands City, Western Australia, Australia.^[4]
