Biography

Claude was born in 1899^[1]. He is the son of James and Alice^[2]

In the 1911 census Claude (age 12), School, was the son of James Yelverton in Bay Cottage, Broadway, Nr Ilminster, Somerset, Broadway, England^[2]

Claude departed England in November 1923, per the ship, Ballarat. His address in England was given as Holly Bank, Woodhill Road, Portishead, Somerset^[3] In December 1923, Claude went on the ship, Ballarat, from Fremantle to Sydney^[4]

Irene married Claude Noel Yelverton in 1936 in Perth, Western Australia.^[5][6].

Claude and Irene returned to England, arriving on September 28, 1948, on the ship, Arawa^[7]. They returned to Fremantle in April 1949 aboard the Arawa. His occupation was given as storekeeper and his address in Australia as 58 Alma Road, Mount Lawley^[8]

Claude died on 27 July 1988 and was buried in Karrakatta, Nedlands City, Western Australia, Australia^[6]/
