Biography

Find A Grave: "David S. Young was my 2-ggrandfather. Husband of Caroline Doolittle. Father of Nancy A. Young. Son of Mark Young and Clorinda Hanks. Grandson of Elijah Hanks and Mary Walker and Thomas Young and Mabel Stodder. Brother of Clorinda, Julia, Samantha, and Thomas. Half brother of Emma Young and Mark Young Jr. David was a farmer in the Dearborn, Wayne Co., area at least as of the 1860 census. He probably married Caroline in the late 1850's, perhaps in Williams Co. OH. Caroline married at a later age than the average in those days which probably is why they had only one child, Nancie, born in 1860 in Dearborn. How wonderful. Their one child became my great-grandmother."

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with David by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with David:
