Margaret was born in 1830 at an unknown location. She was the daughter of William Young.^[1]

When Margaret was about 23 she married Adam Turnbull on 5 August 1853 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. The couple had one child: Unknown Turnbull.^[2][3]

Margaret died at the age of about 51 on 5 August 1881 in Victoria, Australia.^[4]
