The Columbus Weekly Advocate (Columbus, Kansas), 17 Oct 1907, page 6 - Mrs Jane Goodrich Dead - The funeral of Mrs Margaret Jane Goodrich, who died at Coffeyville, Saturday, was held from the Christian Church in this city Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev Oliver Cook. The remains were brought here at 12:57 via the Frisco Monday afternoon. Interment was in the Columbus Cemetery.
Mrs Goodrich was 81 years of age. Mrs Goodrich was the mother of a large family of children and was a most lovable old lady. Her daughter, Mrs Sarah Strong, accompanied the remains to Columbus from Coffeyville. Mrs Wm Bower, another daughter, came from Monett, Ward Goodrich, a son, was here from Fort Scott, and H.L. Strong, a grandson, came down from Kansas City to attend the funeral.
