He died on 15 February 1929, in his hometown, at the age of 0, and was buried in Callaway, Custer, Nebraska, United States.[2]

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel Zoerb; wife, Anna Belle, son, Wayne Everett, grandson, Jered Witthuhn, sisters, Adeline Nelsen McMath, Anna Foglesong, Nellie Farmer Strong, Edna Peck Estergard, Leona G’Schwind, Mabel Bryan Ward, and three brothers, Leonard, Melvin and James.
Regarding an entry From Waldheim Cemetery webpage[4] this entry probably refers to James Zoerb death (assume at 5 days old as there is little family history about James):
"Zoerb, James P., Feb 15, 1929 (no last name on this stone - it is near the Zoerb's)"
