As a Guest member, you can only edit your own profile.

Since connecting profiles edits both profiles, you cannot connect your profile to another profile as long as you remain at the Guest member level.

On your own profile page click the Edit tab.  Over at the right you will see  "Edit Family" and under that a place for a father's information and [add father].  Click that and then enter the Wiki-id for your father in the box and save and the two of you will be connected..

Margaret, it seems at first glance that the responses you've received here are not altogether consistent.  And to be honest, I'm not sure what's correct, i.e. can you connect yourself to your father or not?

But it's not that hard to upgrade to full WikiTree membership.  Then you can definitely connect yourself to your father.

If I had my way, before you got more involved in WT (if that is your intent), I'd hope you knew what you were getting into.  We have a one-tree structure here, which means every person is represented by only one profile.  Once you add profiles to WT, you can't remove them.  And we really want you to add sources when you create profiles.
