New member introducing myself

Question

I am from NC and working on family history. Families I am interested in mostly migrated to NC in early 1700’s. My family interests are Hoover(Huber), Snyder, Kearns, Russell,  Hix(Hicks) and Luther.  Some Woods and Skeens too. This is only my Mom’s family right now. Not sure if I did this correctly but nice to join.

Kearns, Keerans from Ireland and the Keerans changed  Cairnes from Scotland, saw Kerns a couple of times but not many. Are you from High Point?

Do you happen to know if your Kearns line is from Ireland? Or from Germany? Do you also happen to know if it was originally spelled Kearns, or Kerns?
