Thanks for showcasing the Kirkland One-Name Study, Azure.  The Kirklands are one of my paternal grandmother's lines, which is why I started the study.   I am interested in the Kirklands that descend from brothers Richard Kirkland and Robert Kirkland. Their ancestry is unknown, but they have a very large group of descendants that left Virginia for the southern colonies. There is a lot of inaccurate information on these lines, and I hope to be able to keep their pedigree on Wikitree accurate.  I would love to talk to anyone that descends from either of the brothers and am happy to help try and sort out their potential lineage.  The best sources are Kirkland Family Roots, published in 2002 by Jim Peacock, and the Kirkland Source Book of Records, Vol. I and II.  I have all of these and am happy to share information from them.

The project also has a team focused on Kirklands from Scotland.  There are a lot of Kirklands in Australia, so if anyone would like to focus on that group, please get in touch with me and we can get you started.
