Why does WikiTree link my DNA test to some direct relatives but not others?

I'm new and very confused.

I added my DNA to my profile and I see that WikiTree links it up with some of my direct ancestors but not with others.

For instance, my paternal grandfather is

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Rhodes-12839

but my DNA does not show there on his profile.  Why is this?

Thanks!

It's probably just a timing issue. The process to add DNA test connections to profiles only runs once a day, so it can take up to 24 hours before the connections appear on a newly created profile - see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:DNA_Test_Connections#Allow_24_Hours_for_New_Connections.

Makes sense!  Thank you!

Update:  It was just a "timing" issue; it took 22 hours for this info to post.  Thanks once again!

Probably because your father is Private. I think that if you changed him to "Private with Public Family Tree" then your DNA info will travel up that line.

Don't think that's it; I tried to change it as you suggested but that only returns the error "A living non-member can only be Unlisted."
