Can a Pre-1500 Certified member merge Dene-9 into Denne-19? They appear to represent the same ancestor. There is a discrepancy in the birth dates but the names of both his father and spouse are the same. On that note there appear to be two separate profiles for his wife Gatton-26 and Gatton-21 so if these could also be merged that would be ideal. Thank you for your assistance!

There is also William Dene-17 who is married to Elizabeth De_Gatton-1 and has similar dates, but he has a different father and comes from Gloucestershire rather than Kent.

Somewhere here the wrong William is married to Elizabeth (de) Gatton, but I don't see sources on any of these profiles that name her.

Thank you for looking into it. The William Denne in question was from Kent. There also appear to be two profiles for his wife Elizabeth de Gatton. Gatton-21 and Gatton-26. One of these profiles seems to link to her descendants and the other links to her ancestors however there is a notable discrepancy between the birth dates (around 20 years).
There are also separate profiles for the fathers and grandfathers of Dene-9 and Denne-19 and they will need to be merged first.  Unfortunately this entire family is either unsourced or sourced with the Visitation of Kent, which is a really poor source for this early medieval period, which means we might as well say that they are all unsourced.

William Dene-17 is currently an unmerged match for Dene-9 but I think they should be set as rejected matches, at least until more research is carried out on the Kentish Dene/Denne family.

Andrew is right that Eleanor Gatton is named as the wife of all three William Dene/Denne profiles, and we need to find out which one, if any, she was actually married to.

Unfortunately issues with pre-1500 profiles, particularly ones added years ago, are many and often have to wait until someone has the time to undertake some research.

There is also a William Dene-21 that looks like it should be merged into one of the profiles we are discussing, either Dene-17 or Denne-19?

I see. Thank you for looking into it nevertheless.

There is a William de Dene, who held land in Kent, but he must have died shortly before 14 May 1341 (15 Edward III), as that is the date the writ for his inquisition post mortem was issued.  His wife's name is Elizabeth but his son and heir is named Thomas, not Richard.

It is this William de Dene who married Elizabeth Gatton at least according to Hasted, History and Topographical Survey of Kent, vol 6 but their son and heir was Thomas and his heirs were 4 daughters. The current genealogy on WikiTree is incorrect, perhaps other Dene/Dean families have been entwined into the Kentish Dean/Dene genealogy?
