How do you add people to the family tree? Two are missing. See note.

HI:  My name is Elaine Woods.  My grandfather is George Edward Collin and grandmother Josephine E. Collin.  Their five  children are listed but they actually had seven children.  Two  children (Elaine Collin and William (Bill) Collin, both now deceased, are not listed.  How to add  this information?

Hi Elaine, welcome to WikiTree!

First,  I would highly suggest upgrading your membership (free of course!) so you can take full advantage of all the site has to offer.

Next, I would work on building out your parent profiles so you can connect up to your grandparents. This will give you some experience with adding profiles and making connections. Hint: Click the links like this on your profile: Child of [father?] and [mother?] to start adding your parents. Once you work out how to do this (ask us if you have any questions) you can work on adding the missing children for your grandparents.

If you have the birth and/or death dates go into edit mode.
On the right should be a list of their children.  Under the last entrance is a "add sibling" note.  Click on that and you should be able to add the two missing ones.  If you have birth dates the computer will place each child in birth order when you are done.

George Edward Collin  Does have 5 children listed in the profile:

• Lloyd Winston Collin 1925–2009

That may be because that is all that Family Search shows:  There doesn't seem to be any records for the other children you mention. You can send a private message to the profile manager and see if he will add a note in about the other two children.  It would really be nice if they can be verified because one day we will want to add all the children as profiles and then we will need some records.
