I need to find information on the mother of Clarence "Jack" Melton.

Question

Clarence "Jack" Melton and his wife, Madge, had four children. Racine, Raymond, Ronald, and Robert. Jack's mother was full Cherokee. I'm looking for information regarding her life, ancestry, tribe, and death. I don't know her name.

I located a profile on Find-a-Grave for a Clarence Otis "Jack" Melton, born 3 Nov 1913 in MO, died 20 May 1993 in MO, married Madge Rains (1916-1993).  It has him as the son of William T. Thank you so much! Unfortunately I don't have access to ancestry.com. Is there possibly a website you can suggest to further this research that doesn't charge? Highly unlikely, I know. Figured I'd give it a shot!
