Neuville, or Pointe-aux-Trembles, Nouvelle-France

I want to start sub categories for the category:Canada, Nouvelle-France for the villages (parishes) until 1673..

I would like to have a consensus on the names.  The first one is the village called today as Neuville.  Before 1673, it was a ''seigneurie''

3 names have been used:

Dombourg dit La Pointe-aux-Trembles (1667-1680)

Neuville dite La Pointe-aux-Trembles (1680-1716)

Pointe-aux-Trembles de Québec,(1716-1919)

The common name that was used by the people is ''Pointe-aux-Trembles'' but gets sometimes mixed up with the Pointe-aux-Trembles on Island of Montreal.

What should be the name for the category:

[[Category:Xxxxxx,_Canada,_Nouvelle-France]]

The Catholic Church Records for the area used " de la Pointe-aux-Trembles" .. circa 1716 ..

There is actually already a category in existence for Neuville in either 1666 or 1667 census (or both).  George Blanchard created that.

The actual name that shows up in religious records is Neuville (de Portneuf sometimes, since the name gets used elsewhere also.)  Pointe-aux-Trembles I have been specifying either ''de Montréal'' or ''de Neuville'' when it is used, but would not go with that name for a category, it is much too easy for people who don't know there are 2 such to get confused, then your category will go to h.. very fast.

You might want to coordinate with George, I know he has already created a few categories to go with census data.  Don't see the point of creating another separate category when that already exists.  What do you think?

George is working on census not on category to include profiles.

The Chronicles of New France  http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Chronicles_of_New_France  explains the 3 parts on Nouvelle-France Canada, Lousiana, Acadia.

Canada and Louisiana have no link, and Acadia is managed by Roland.

I want to create the sub-categories needed in the Category:Canada, Nouvelle-France (that I did NOT create)..  George can link that category to his Chronicles if he wishes.
The problem I see with categories of locations is when people move around a lot, you're going to have multiple categories for one person that way.  Would really need to link the categories to a date, otherwise it can be misleading.

I have seen George adding the census categories which include place name to profiles, which show who was where at a specific time.  Granted, there are only 3 censuses that are nominative in New France that I know of.
