The best B-B-Q is on Beale Street in Memphis, TN.
Never had Brunswick Stew.
The best Red Beans and Rice are definitely Louisiana along with the Boudain found along the River Road in assorted places and, of course, the best Beignets are found in "the quarter".
I am not positive about the next one. About the only thing, I can think of is "You can't have a "coke" without peanuts." But usually, a coke means a Barq's Rootbeer for me!
Miss America 1959- Mary Ann Mobley, 1960 Lynda Mead, 1980 Cheryl Prewitt, and 1986 Susan Akin. All Mississippi girls along with Leann Rimes and Faith Hill, some of our beautiful singers. Actually, I think Miss America of the future might live near me as that is the plan of my 10-year-old granddaughter, Egypt Amour. Remember folks you heard it here first. Ha!
LSU definitely has the craziest fan. All "crazier than junebugs".
I would think the area that was the Virginia Colony would have the most interesting history.
This would be because first of all it was the wealthiest colony. Kentucky was part of it. Not many states can claim that an entire state came from them. And 4 of the first 5 presidents came from Virginia, George Washington, James Madison, James Monroe, and Thomas Jefferson. The Constitutional Congress also met there and established The Bill of Rights.
The Scots-Irish first used it. It comes from the Scottish language from a word Ye Aw. When used it changed to y'all because that was the sound it was. It kept being used by southerns and northern prople and still is today. Was that enough explanation for Y'all?
Now, I am "fixing to" ask my question.
When a southerern is caught by surprise what do we say they were caught with?
