I have learned that a Wikitree member who is the profile manager for a number of private profiles has recently deceased..

What is the procedure for somebody else to take on the responsibility for those profiles?

Here's a couple of helpful links for you:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Death_of_a_Member

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:When_a_user_passes_away

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Advance_Directive

You should send that information to info@wikitree.com

Then, if they have an "Advance Directive", it will let the Admins know what to do with his profiles.

And a good reminder that if you want your private profiles managed after you're gone, you can set one of these up as well.
