Adopt Orphaned Profiles in Your Family bug?

I see there are several other threads in the forum, asking the exact same thing, all confused, and I have not found a good answer for it. Is this a bug?

I have created my family tree. I doubt anyone else have added anything related to me.

Now, if this is correct, first of all, I'm the profile manager of all of them, and second, none of the profiles are orphans, as I'm the current manager.

Unless orphan means something else than not having a profile manager, what I see is strange.

So, I go to my moms profile, I go to its menu, Go down where it says family tree & tools, and then orphaned family, what I see next is perplexing:

  Privacy Level Private Profile.
  Privacy Level Private Profile.
  Privacy Level Private Profile.
  Privacy Level Private Profile.
  Privacy Level Private Profile.
  Privacy Level Private Profile.
  Privacy Level Private Profile.

then I see some of my family tree that do have names, but they are not selectable either:

Privacy Level xxx- 1974 select all descendants descendants or ancestors ancestors and siblings of xxx
Privacy Level yyy- 1974 select all descendants descendants or ancestors ancestors and siblings of yyy

and more
  Privacy Level Private Profile.

Question:
I have created all the named ones. Obviously they are not orphans. Why are these included? (Maybe they are orphans in another sense, that one of their parents are still missing, is that it? then why does it say it's for adoption)

And the private profiles. What's the meaning of seeing this list of private profiles? If they are in my family tree, I'm the manager of them, so that they are private seems an error by itself. Let alone needing adoption. Unless the system thinks I'm a terrible profile manager and someone else should take over...

If any of your family profiles are available to adopt, they would be highlighted in bright yellow.
Make sure you are logged in.

I believe I just encountered this today, 25 Sep, 2021, so last December's comment about working on it and it will be "[F]ixed pretty soon" needs an update?

Also, It should go without saying that if a profile is not orphaned/is not adoptable, it shouldn't appear in any list of profiles that may be adopted (but can't be). Then the highlighting would be redundant because only adoptable profiles would be in the list. In my opinion, someone overthought a problem. (I've got 40 years in DP, MIS, IS, IT, etc.) Call me shocked and amazed (rightwink) that this has confused so many people. A list of ancestors certainly wouldn't include descendants that are simply colored differently to distinguish them.

That is a good question. Also no, you are not an awful manager. I have the same thing.

Also, They are not able to be adopted because they are already owned by you.

To me this is a user interface problem.  Yes, it says the highlighted people can be adopted, but it is very non-obvious. If you don't have any orphans you will not see any yellow highlights. Until you are connected to the global tree it is unlikely you will have any yellow highlights.  You get to this by clicking on "Adopt Orphaned Profiles in Your Family" but unlike the unsourced or unconnected profiles on your watch list,  this is not a subset of your family but all your family with the possibility that somewhere in the list is yellow highlight. This comes up regularly as a question which indicates it is confusing to many people.
