Chuckle of my day

While making corrections I found a profile giving the ZIP CODE for Blooming Grove, Orange, New York, in 1741.  Now that is predicting the future!  And they still had it when the person died in the 1800s.

Glad you can chuckle about this, I just cringe when I see all those 19th century and before profiles for Germany with locations that came to be only after WWII.
Children children, be at peace. This is genealogy, not geography. But in truth I did get irked when I got notes on one of Majel Roddenberry's bygones, wherein I did put CZECHOSLOVAKIA, and the note sender ordered the X-Treme Kong to choose CZECH REPUBLIC or SLOVAKIA. I replied quite politely, seeing as how I WAS irked , that at the time of birth the country was CZECHOSLOVAKIA.  I had a Twinkie and a cigar and became calmed. AND THEN I WAS IRKED AGAIN when Mr Dude sayeth in his great voice regarding a Brad Johnson bygone, wherein I put RUSSIA, that such must be USSR ! No, Mr. Dude, Brad's great Grammy was not a Communist in 1880.

Fearing I was being stalked by a geo-nut, I posted Munky at my door with a frozen banana to whack the stalker with if he showed up in person.
