New York Militia, Revolutionary War Categories?

There appears to be some different interpretations of the New York Militia Categories for the Revolutionary War.

See the text and the subcategories on the following category:

a.  [Category:New_York_Militia, American_Revolution]

Question 1:  Shouldn't the Regiment numbers vice commanding officer's names be used in the categories when the unit has a regiment number

Question 2:  Is the following Category format correct?

Category:2nd Regiment, Albany County Militia, American Revolution

Or should it have New York somewhere in the Unit name?

As a part of the New York Project, we are trying to identify more profiles of Revolutionary War Soldiers and their units.  Many of the Units that appear on New York Profiles don't yet have unit categories.

Only the regimented Army is numbered.. if it's voluntary militia it's not numbered but goes by the Commanders name.  What you are looking at is possibly members not understanding the difference on how to use the specific categories  or  the member did not know the ancestor belonged to a numbered regiment and could only find the Commanders name.

Working Rev War is not as easy as it looks and mistakes happen.
