Who is Trecie Clark's parents?

Trecie aka Treacy (called Tea) Clark was born in Kentucky about 1870. She married Henry Thomas Lucus aka Lucas probably about 1890. No marriage record has ever been found. They had 5 kids (or so they say) Nona born 1892, Cozy born 1893-4,  Icie born 1899 and Lonard born 1904. Tea died in 1909 in Kentucky and is buried in Mt Hebron cemetery in Grayson Kentucky. Henry remarried later a Bessie Mercer and had more kids. Henry's race was white and all his children were except for Lonard who in some earlier records (answered by his father) said his race was Mulatto which according to google means he has one white parent and one black. This made me think that Tea must have been black but I don't know for sure because all of Lonard's "full" siblings were not mulatto but just white. Now, my family had our DNA done and it showed we have a nice amount of African blood in us. Which we had no idea, so we've all been very curious about where this African blood came from. Hence our interest in genealogy!

On all the records I can find list Lonard's mother as Tea including information passed down by word of mouth that says she was but if so why is Lonard mulatto but not his siblings? I thought that if I could find more about Tea Clark maybe I could figure out this mystery! I've spent hours searching on several websites but couldn't find much of anything. All I know about her is listed here. If anyone knows anything or has any advice please give a shout out!

Thank you,

Jaaven

Tea's real name might be Sarah Treacy Clark. Note, I have no facts to support this. A older family member told me this a while back.

I found Leonard's marriage record on Family Search, says white, mother Tea, Clark, Indiana? It is possibly a mistake that he is listed mulatto. Did you see original record? They are often hard to decipher. Could have been M for male. Have you combed through all the Clarks in counties surrounding Grayson? Breckenridge, Hardin, Meade.

It is possible that it was a mistake but I'm not sure, it is written on the 1820 US census, I found the original record. It has all of his half siblings except the youngest girl listed as mulatto. Also his older brother (whom I forgot to list above) named Audy C. Lucus had several records that said mulatto. Maybe he was just darker complected so who ever was doing the census's just assumed he was mulatto? I have searched through countless records of Clark family's in Kentucky but none of the Sarah Clarks I found married  a Lucas or Lucus.

Thank you so much for looking into my brickwall!

I also found Treasey Clark, age 33, wife of James W. Clark, 1880 census, Big Clifty, Grayson, KY, with children Charles, Leo T., Nancy, Asa.

I will see if I can find that census record. Also I found on one of her kids (I think it was Audy) death certificate her name was listed as Elizabeth Clark, quite odd. This is the first I've ever found a record naming her as Elizabeth rather than the normal Tea, Trecie or Treacy.
Elizabeth Clark is Henry Thomas's mother on his death certificate. I wish I copy and paste here.

I noticed on Henry Thomas Lucas death certificate his mother is named Elizabeth Clark. Maybe Clark is not Trecie's maiden name.

Okay, so I found that record and I noticed the person filling that out for him was George McCombs. He was Icie's husband. So then I found Henry's siblings death records all said Elizabeth (that I found). Not all of them listed her maiden name and those who did said Elizabeth Quiggins -except for Henry's- and on Henry's record the website I was using said below the record [Elizabeth E. Quiggins] under Clark. Also, on Elizabeth E. Quiggins death record it listed her husband was Morris Lucus and listed his birthdate. He is Henry's dad. Maybe George McCombs got confused by the Elizabeth Trecie Clark and Elizabeth Quiggins? Now I'm really lost!laugh I think I will see if there's any Tea, Trecie, Treacy Quiggins, just in case, doubtful but ya never know!

Hey I just found Morris Lucus has a daughter named Sarah Elizabeth Clark she married a John R. Clark. She was born in 1867 passed in 1926.

There's an Elizabeth E. Quiggins sometimes Clark, Trecie Clark sometimes called Elizabeth or Sarah and a Sarah Elizabeth Clark.   Confusing!
