I can find no information on [[Pendelton-66|Hannah (Pendelton) Wilcox]]. No parents listed.I have her as married to [[Wilcocks-46|Hezekiah Wilcocks]] but no sourcing. Family search has her married to the same person but showing her parents as- Nehemia Parker and Bethiah Bassett. Again no sourcing can someone help me out with this?

WikiTree profile: Hannah Wilcox
in Genealogy Help by Betty Warner G2G2 (2.2k points)

Hi Betty I've found her baptism record on Ancestry looking through the Connecticut Church record abstracts heres the record: Free Ancestry Image Ancestry.com. Connecticut, Church Record Abstracts, 1630-1920 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: 2013.

Original data: Connecticut. Church Records Index. Connecticut State Library, Hartford, Connecticut.

I've also found several other sources for Hannah and have added them to her profile

This is wonderful, I have also added this information to Family Search siting that you found this and where you found it.

I also found a birth record of Nehemiah and Bethiah's children attached in Family Search, it is a handwritten record that was miss labeled death record, and there is no mention of a Hannah. There is a Bethia, daughter to them born June 24-29, 1731 Could she have been named Bethiah Hannah and used her middle name instead of her given name? Here is the link.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QSQ-G9N8-QHYV?i=29&cc=2448940

I added her birth record to her profile Betty.

Hannah was born Hannah Parker on the 16th of  May 1732, take a look at her profile, its the first record I added after her FamilySearch entry. Also Hannah was baptised on the 21st of May 1732 ( there is a note attached to the record saying it was typed up wrongly as 1731 and should have said 1732)

The handwritten entries of all the other children was a great find, did you see Caleb Parker listed on the previous page?
Looking at the handwritten entry for Bethia Parker, daughter of Nemiah and his wife Bethia, I think the date is 1734. Its been squeezed in above the entry for Jonathan who was born April 26 1736. So looks like it was added sometime after the original entries, making it harder to read but I think was squeezed in above Jonathan to stay in chronological order. It's possible Hannah was also left out when the original entries were made.
I hadn't thought to look a the previous page because of the way that entry was squeezed in at the top. Wow, you never know what you will find!  :)

Yes, this is the same Hannah, the problem is that there is no sourcing for the parents that I could find. The sourcing is there for the other children but not for Hannah. Hannah has sourcing for her children but not her parents.

I'll see if I can find anything that may help tomorrow. In the meantime you may want to add the family search sources that she does have to her profile and her make a note section on her profile like this.

==Notes==

LNAB unsure.

Then add that you have been unable to find sources for her birth and parentage, list where you've looked so far and anything you do know that may help.

That way when someone else views the profile they'll know where you've already looked etc.

Do you have a source other than the find a grave bio for the marriage between Hannah and Hezekiah? Is Hannah's LNAB Pendleton as on the profile or Parker as on family search and  the find a grave memorial?

Hello Becky.

Here is a help page on how to add a "Research Notes" section to a profile:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Research_Notes

Hi Reuben, thank you for the star. I've read that help page thanks :) I think  Hannah's profile needs a LNAB change to Parker as can find absolutely no sources for the LNAB being Pendleton, but I'm not PM for the profile. I had forgotten about it until the message just popped up to say you'd commented, so thanks. I'll send Betty a message when I return from holiday and see if we can get Hannah's LNAB changed and profile sourced smiley

Oops! Sorry, Becky.

The comment was intended for Betty.  blush

No problems, it reminded me that I was going to source the profile, so was helpful smiley Have added a reminder note in my scratchpad now.
