The dates for Pole are based on dates for his grandson, Sir John Michell reported in the Parliamentary Record. Essentially, the math works like this (number of steps refers to source number):
4a. John, WikiTree ID Michell-2, father of Sir John Michell (d.c. 1588) would be at least 20 at time of John's Birth. So this would make his birth date 1470s to 1487. (Currently his profile is project protected by Euristo Project and probably needs to be changed from the "before 1497" that is showing).
4b. John, WikiTree ID Michell-2, is shown as husband of Alice Beauchamp and she is shown as the mother of Sir John. We believe her birth date will likely be similar to that of her husband from 1470s to 1487.
Conclusion: Pole is likely born 1450s or 1460s. 1470 at latest. We merged ther 2 Pole Beauchamp profiles that were showing in WikiTree. This one and Beauchamp-100. We believe the idea that there was a junior and a senior came from the Cornwall Visitations book showing a number 2 after his name. However, if you look at the book as a whole you will see the males of the families are each numbered by birth order among the males. Therefore, we believe this indicates he is a younger brother of Beauchamp of Sommersetshire.
5. No source has been found that supports this assertion "The lineage becomes non-patrilineal through Margaret, daughter of Edmund de Ferrers, wife of John Beauchamp, 1st Baron Beauchamp and technically unlawful through their grandson Pole Beauchamp (1470–1538), the illegitimate son of Richard Beauchamp, 2nd Baron Beauchamp. Pole Beauchamp (known on occasion as Pole Fitzbeauchamp) was a near kinsman of the legitimate Lygon line"
Original profile sources:
Pole II was born in 1492. He passed away about 1560. He was the son of Sir Pole I Beauchamp, and the grandson of Sir Richard, 2nd Baron of Powyck and Hatch. Pole II's mother is unknown, but there is no doubt that his daughter was Alice (Bauchamp) Michell who married Sir John III Michell, MP, and Mayor of Truro, Cornwall County (See the reference below which exists in the files of the English college of arms, the last word in English genealogy). Baron Richard betrayed his father's Lancastrian orientation during the wars of the roses, and it could be that little is known about either of the two Pole Beauchamps, because they were both well-placed to claim the throne of England, because the mother of Pole I Beauchamp was Baroness Elizabeth de Stafford (1446-Jan 1476), The daughter of the Duke of Buckingham. Elizabeth's mother, Duchess Elizabeth, was the granddaughter of Prince John of Gaunt, son of King Edward III. Both King Henry VII and Tudor spent decades slaughtering He passed away about 1560.
