Biography

Levina Boone was born on March 23, 1766 Yadkin River, Rowan County, North Carolina.. She is the daughter of Daniel Boone and Rebecca Bryan.

In 1785 when Levina was 18, she married Joseph Scholl, son of William Scholl who was born in 1755 in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. Joseph died, at the age of 80, in Clark County, Kentucky in 1835. Their children were:

3. Jesse Boone SCHOLL 1791 – 1841
4. Marcia SCHOLL 1791 – 1814 [married James Holliday]

Levina did not move to Missouri with her parents and the others. She and Joseph remained in Clark County, Kentucky, living about 7 or 8 miles east of Winchester, Kentucky at a place called Schullville.

The elder Joseph Scholl died January 15, 1833, on the headwaters of Stoner, in Clark County, Kentucky. He had been born in the Shenandoah Valley, in Virginia, in January 1755. ^[1]

She died, at the age of 36 years and 15 days, on April 6, 1802 died on the waters of Stoner in Clark County, Kentucky. She was buried on the family farm at Schullville, Kentucky.^[2] Also buried in the same cemetery are Joseph, his father, William, and Levina's sister, Rebecca Boone Goe.
